It is my goal to obtain a position where I can use my design skills, educational background, and strong work ethic to provide creative solutions to convey the intended message of the business.

Throughout this portfolio you will see a resume which outlines my years of hands on experience and education put forth to further my career. In addition you will find samples of work that will reflect my creative abilities, as well as technical skills.

What you will not find in this portfolio is my dedication, and desire to learn, and keep abreast of changing technology and design practices.

Designer Statement

Design is not a finite skill. The art of design is constantly changing, growing, revolutionizing, and influencing the world we live in. Like design, I too am constantly growing based on the influences of newly introduced software, techniques and other intricacies of this industry. I am committed to my art and to those for whom I create.

  • Develop HTML, JavaScript and DHTML for commercial websites using text-based programs
  • Author usable HTML based solely on a graphic mock-ups using text-based programs

Special Projects
Intranet
  • Design, develop and maintain the first Intranet for Deborah Hospital Foundation with minimal consult in design, structure, and layout. The project was developed as a solution to the Director of Finance and Administration, and the Coordinator of Computer Services.
  • Independently initiated, designed and developed a redesign of the previous Intranet. This included reevaluating the previous structure for unnecessary pages and restructuring the layout that was more appealing and user-friendlier. In addition, redesigned some areas for better visual flow.
  • Programs used: Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, ImageReady, PhotoShop

 

Internet:
  • Helped outside consultant in designing a new section to the Internet as a solution to the request of Public Relations Department. This included sitting in on meetings with both the Director of Public Relations and the Coordinator of Computer Services listening to their needs and acting as a liaison to the Web Developer for this project. After the layout and design structure were built it was then handed over to me to add text and images.
  • Independently initiated, designed, and developed a section that allows visitors to view and mail order Deborah Hospital Foundation merchandise from their Gift Shop.
